This book was a barrel of fun from start to finish。The intergalactic spouse competition à la Bachelor was amazing， the action sequences were flooring （Dina has become such an amazing fighter and her displays of magic always leave me stunned）， her relationship with Sean is so sweet and such a comfort to me， Caldenia had a couple of scenes that made me incredibly emotional and that finale！ Omg， it sparked so many questions and theories and I need the next book right now！

3。5 fluffy stars。 This novella is what you would call a filler episode in a TV show， entertaining but not moving the needle in the series’ overall plot。 But if you enjoy the worldbuilding with all its diverse magical races and seeing Dina and Sean work together in the inn for the first time， you will definitely have a good time reading - as I did。

Sweep of the Heart isn't technically out， yet， but House Andrews has been kind enough to have shared the story and images in serial form。The Innkeeper books are filled with marvelous characters， adventure and mystery。 This installment has everything and more。One of their friend's has been kidnapped and the only way to get to him entails a favor。 So Dina and Sean are hosting an intergalactic version of The Bachelor。 Only with being who not only can， but really， really want to kill each other and/ Sweep of the Heart isn't technically out， yet， but House Andrews has been kind enough to have shared the story and images in serial form。The Innkeeper books are filled with marvelous characters， adventure and mystery。 This installment has everything and more。One of their friend's has been kidnapped and the only way to get to him entails a favor。 So Dina and Sean are hosting an intergalactic version of The Bachelor。 Only with being who not only can， but really， really want to kill each other and/or the bachelor in question。 We learn more about the Inn's only permanent resident but we're still confused about the motivations of pretty much everyone involved in the spousal selection。 And if anyone dies， Dina could lose the Inn。This has been great fun to read in weekly installments， but I'm still looking forward to the finally edited and concluded book to come out in December！ 。。。more

I read this serialized on the web over several months， which made the reading a little choppy。 But it was so cute！ Set up like The Bachelor， it's about a competition for who gets to marry a very eligible nobleman。 Dina has been chosen as the host/moderator， and the whole thing is set at her inn。 Each contestant is from a different planet and represents their planet。 Contestants are of various species， though all but one are humanoid， and only one is male。So much intrigue！ The contestants are as I read this serialized on the web over several months， which made the reading a little choppy。 But it was so cute！ Set up like The Bachelor， it's about a competition for who gets to marry a very eligible nobleman。 Dina has been chosen as the host/moderator， and the whole thing is set at her inn。 Each contestant is from a different planet and represents their planet。 Contestants are of various species， though all but one are humanoid， and only one is male。So much intrigue！ The contestants are as catty to each other as those on The Bachelor， but the backstabbing here can get literal。 Contestants get a date with the bachelor， and there are talent and fighting competitions。 Contestants get eliminated， and some of those eliminations may be literal。The book didn't advance the series much， but we did learn more about some planets and their species， and some planetary and interplanetary politics。 We also learned more about Caldenia and the crime that keeps her at the Inn。 The manner of the serialization was fun， as was the bachelor competition premise。 The author provided notes， and fans wrote comments。 And the fans got to vote for their favorite contestants。 Three and a half stars， rounded up to four because of the fun factor。 。。。more

Amazing book。 I loved the humor， the romance， the suspense of the spousal selection。 Just perfection。You must read this series in order or you will be lost。 The author tells you what you need to know but there is so much backstory you will miss details。
